4.1 Tree Nurseries and planting

• 52 tree nurseries established and handed over to the Bureau of Agriculture and Natural Resource Development ( BoANRD)
• 4.5 million seedlings were planted each year in community preserves and plantations
• Forty hectares of community fuel wood plantations planted producing fuel wood for 200,000 members in the urban and rural areas.
• To reduce deforestation, 36,000 kerosene stoves procured and distributed to urban dwellers

4.2 Irrigation Dams, Forage and vegetable seed multiplication centers

• Ten thousand farmers, about 60% women, built 10 micro dams to store water for irrigation and the community are using & running these dams.
• Five forage and seed multiplication centers developed, providing 5,000 kilos of improved forage seeds to farmers every year.
• Eight vegetable seed multiplication centers developed, providing vegetable seeds to 2500 target farmers. To run these centre in a sustainable manner the centers were handled over to BoANRD and they are running it effectively
